Our company's anti-seepage membranes are mainly divided into two categories: HDPE anti-seepage membranes and aquaculture anti-seepage membranes. The raw materials are all high-quality polyethylene virgin resins. The main component is 97.5% high-density polyethylene, along with about 2.5% of additives such as carbon black, anti-aging agents, antioxidants, ultraviolet absorbers, and stabilizers. It is a highly durable anti-seepage and waterproof material made of high-molecular polyethylene through blow molding. Its main functions are to prevent liquid leakage, gas volatilization, and resist the puncture of plant roots.

Features of Anti-seepage Geomembrane


  1. Water Resistance: Water is a medium that anti-seepage membranes often come into contact with. HDPE anti-seepage membranes do not contain hydrophilic groups such as amide groups and ester groups in their macromolecules. The water absorption rate of HDPE anti-seepage membranes is less than 0.03, and its water vapor transmission rate is less than 10^(-16).
  2. Acid and Alkali Resistance: In anti-seepage projects of chemical plants, electroplating plants, tailings leaching plants, etc., the media that HDPE anti-seepage membranes come into contact with are mostly various acid and alkali solutions. However, HDPE anti-seepage membranes can resist the corrosion of most acid, alkali and salt solutions.
  3. Resistance to Organic Solvents: In anti-seepage projects of wineries, refineries, organic chemical plants, etc., the media that anti-seepage membranes come into contact with are mostly various organic solvents. HDPE geomembranes can resist the erosion of most organic solvents below 80°C.
  4. Resistance to Active Substances: There is an environmentally friendly high-density polyethylene anti-seepage membrane in GB/T 17643 - 2011 "Geosynthetics - Polyethylene Anti-seepage Membrane", which has extremely strong resistance to surface activity. Therefore, it is suitable for use in anti-seepage projects of sewage ponds and landfills.
  5. Resistance to Metal Ions: There are more or less certain metal ions in water. In anti-seepage projects of tailings leaching plants and electroplating plants, the concentrations of certain metal ions in the media are very high. Other waterproof materials are extremely sensitive to this, and their degradation rates will increase hundreds of times, quickly losing their anti-seepage ability. However, HDPE anti-seepage membranes are the "nemesis" of metal ions.
  6. Resistance to Microorganisms: Microorganisms are ubiquitous. There are traces of fungi in water, soil, and on animals and plants. Fungi are commonly known as molds. Many synthetic high-molecular polymers themselves are a source of bacteria growth. However, HDPE anti-seepage membranes are not a source of bacteria growth and are usually not easily affected by fungi.
  7. Aging Resistance: It is difficult to avoid contact with light, heat and oxygen during the storage, transportation, construction and even use of anti-seepage membranes. The anti-aging property of HDPE itself is average. However, when using HDPE to produce HDPE anti-seepage membranes, by adding an appropriate amount of anti-aging additives, HDPE anti-seepage membranes have strong anti-aging properties. After more than 20 years of painstaking research, introducing Italian technology and continuously improving product life, the service life of Taian "Rufeng" brand anti-seepage membranes can currently reach 50 - 70 years. The product life of Rufeng brand anti-seepage membranes is unmatched by other domestic anti-seepage membrane manufacturers.
  8. Mechanical Properties: The application of anti-seepage membranes in engineering is often subject to forces such as stretching, compression, puncture, bursting and tearing. Good mechanical properties will undoubtedly bring convenience to anti-seepage projects. The elongation at break of HDPE anti-seepage membranes is very large, reaching 200 - 500. Thus, HDPE anti-seepage membranes have a strong ability to adapt to changes in the base surface. When the base surface has a slight fracture, the flexible anti-seepage layer will not be immediately damaged. This has a very obvious advantage over rigid anti-seepage systems.
  9. Resistance to Plant Root Puncture: Anti-seepage membranes have special physical properties to resist the puncture of plant roots. Especially anti-seepage membranes with a specification of 1.0 mm or above can resist the puncture of all plant roots in daily life, which is especially suitable for use in landscape engineering, such as roof gardens, terrace gardens and villa courtyards.
  10. UV Resistance: During the research and development of anti-seepage membranes, considering that HDPE anti-seepage membranes are mostly used in a bare state in most cases, ultraviolet resistant additives are added. Especially for aquaculture anti-seepage membranes, more comprehensive considerations are given.
